Admission requirements Jazz double bass
Master
- Show at least a level of a graduate Bachelor of Music double bass student
- Talent for and affinity with jazz
- Good feeling for timing and intonation
- Ability to improvise
- Major and minor scales
- Arpeggios based on three and four-note chords
- Sight-read themes and chord sequences
- Perform standards and jazz originals in ensemble setting
- Sufficient level of ear-training development
- The applicant is able to convincingly explain the focus of the applicants research topic/project and the connection and relevance to both the double bass, the craft and the jazz practice.
