Every year, Codarts presents the final of the famous Erasmus Jazz Prize. This unique event for up-and-coming jazz talent will have its 29th edition this year! During the final, the talents go to extremes to get the best out of themselves. They challenge themselves, seek out and cross the boundaries of music. Expect a highly varied, unique jazz programme featuring the best young musicians of the moment.

At the time, the Erasmus Jazz Prize was introduced by Codarts and the Friends of Codarts Foundation to give young jazz talent a push towards the professional circuit. The now prestigious prize proved to be a great stepping stone for a number of successful young jazz musicians. In 2024, Andrew Moreno won the Erasmus Jazz Prize.
