The Codarts Kick-Off week 2023, like previous editions, was all about getting to know the city, the school, and each other.
Information was given about all kinds of important matters (housing, insurance, etc.) at the information market and there was an opportunity to take photos with fellow students in the photo booth.
The rest of the week was all about creation. On Tuesday, students were divided into various groups and given the task of creating something beautiful together. A first cross over project in which you not only collaborate with students from your own class or department, but also with students from a completely different discipline.
Under the guidance of several coaches, our talented performers created wonderful things. During the Kick-Off festival at our beautiful circus venue in Katendrecht, the performances - full of music, dance, theatre and circus - were presented to Codarts staff and students.
Like every year, the audience watched in amazement as the new Rotterdam-based talents take the stage and show off mind-blowing performances they created in just a few days. So inspiring!
We confidently welcome the new students into our Codarts family and can't wait to see how they develop and flourish in the coming years.
