Sofia Nakou, also known as Sophie Nakou, is a talented vocalist, composer, and vocal coach with a rich and diverse musical background. After initially exploring pop and jazz, her passion shifted towards Latin American music during her studies in Barcelona. She further honed her skills at Codarts, diving deep into the Afro-Cuban and Brazilian musical traditions, enriching her repertoire with influences from bolero, son Cubano, Nueva trova, and timba.

Sofia has a unique vocal style, full of emotional depth and vulnerability, which has captivated audiences at prestigious events like the North Sea Jazz Festival, Music Meeting Festival, De Doelen World Music Festival, and Dias Latinos Festival. She currently leads her own group, "Nakumba!", and is preparing to release her debut album.
