Physical screening

Candidates who are granted a placement in the Circus Arts, Dance, and Dance Teacher program are required to undergo screening at the beginning of the academic year.

Upon admission to the (bachelor) study programmes Dance / Dance in Education / Circus Arts, students are requested to undergo two screenings:

  • A medical screening (by a team of sports physicians, a (sports) dietician, and human movement scientists)
  • A physiotherapeutic screening (by a physiotherapist or manual therapist)

In addition, a number of physical tests are done.

The aim of these screenings is to enhance our students’ health and thereby optimise their performance, prevent injuries, and promote a sustainable dance or circus career. The results of the screenings provide students with a good insight into their physical capabilities and possible issues that require attention. The cost of the full package of screenings is around €185. More information about the screenings can be found in the enrolment package.
