The fees for this test are charged to the student-to-be.
What kind of students are we looking for?
At Global Musics, we’re looking for musicians who are ready to explore, innovate and connect. This programme is for students who see music as more than just sound - it’s about culture, storytelling and artistic expression. If you’re curious, open-minded, and eager to grow, this could be the place for you.
Who thrives in this programme?
Musically Skilled & open-minded
You have a strong musical foundation—whether in a specific tradition, improvisation, composition or performance. But more importantly, you’re curious about different musical styles and their cultural backgrounds. You’re ready to dive into new traditions and challenge yourself artistically.
Creative & innovative thinker
You don’t just want to play music—you want to shape its future. Whether through cross-cultural collaborations, new compositions or experimental projects, you’re interested in pushing boundaries and finding your own artistic voice.
Collaborative & community-oriented
Music is about connection. You enjoy working with musicians from different backgrounds and disciplines, whether it’s jazz, pop, or dance. You’re also interested in projects that engage with communities, such as collaborations with the Fenix Museum or international artists.
Independent & self-driven
You take ownership of your learning and development. Especially in years 3 and 4, where you have more freedom to shape your own path, you’re excited about crafting your own projects and taking artistic risks.
Globally connected & socially engaged
You know that music is more than notes and rhythms - it tells stories, reflects migration and connects cultures. You’re eager to explore how music is shaped by identity, history and social change.
Entrepreneurial & future-focused
You see yourself building a career in music—not just as a performer, but possibly as a composer, educator, researcher or cultural entrepreneur. You’re interested in learning about self-promotion, project management and the global music industry.
Is this you?
If you’re ready to challenge yourself, expand your horizons and develop your unique artistic identity, then Global Musics might be the perfect fit. Join a community of musicians who are shaping the future of global music.
